reporting a sighting

every sighting page has a report this sighting link at the bottom. it opens a short form — pick what is wrong, add anything we should know, send. the sighting comes attached, so we know exactly what you mean.

you need to be signed in to report, so we can reply to you. if you are not, or you would rather not, email hello@birds.place with a link to the sighting and say what is wrong. both reach the same person.

we look at every report within 24 hours.

blocking and muting

blocking an account hides it from you and writes a public record on your own account, so other apps on the network can honour it. muting hides an account from you privately — the person muted is never told, and nothing about it leaves birds.place.

getting your sightings out

they were never in here to begin with — they live on your own account. any AT Protocol client can read or export them, and revoking birds.place's access does not touch them.
